A luxury eco-friendly 3-wheeler, known as the R3, was unveiled across the pond last week.

The new trike built by T3 Motion,  a company specialising in personal mobility, is capable of reaching 70 mph with its electric motor and can travel a maximum distance of 100 miles (that’s London to Bristol).

T3 Motion C.E.O. Kim Nam said: “From conception to completion, this clean-technology product embodies a unique and groundbreaking vanguard for our launch into the consumer arena.”

“By adding this vehicle to our product line, we continue our mission to deliver powerful, cost-effective, clean-energy products to the marketplace.”

Unveiled at the T3 Motion headquarters in California the R3 features the unique ability to integrate a Samsung Galaxy Tab with its dashboard making this much more than just an electric Reliant Robin.

The rear wheel holds two tyres which allows for maximum traction whilst improving the aerodynamics of what is technically classed as a motorcycle.

“A multi-link, dual-shock rear suspension in the R3 is similar to suspension systems found in today’s Formula One race cars.”

The R3 is set to be available to the public in the US soon and will be priced between $25,000 and $35,000 (£15,000 to £21,000).
