Like a gang of zombies hunting for holiday makers, the gaming world has gone mad for the new game from Techland.
The full length trailer for the upcoming Dead Island features a reverse-chronological story of a family who face an attack of zombies whilst on holiday. It may seem like the run of the mill zombie game but the trailer has got thousands asking; will this be a big hit? Or just another wave-based, zombie hack and slash game?
One avid gamer I spoke to said: “I don’t think the people who made the game were thinking it was going to be that big until it got massive hype from the trailer…from what I’ve heard it isn’t an amazing game, but those are the benefits of great marketing and PR…it’ll probably do alright!”
It’s set for a September release on the major platforms, are you going to be buying it?
